On December 4th, a meeting between Kuwait representatives and several Italian companies was held at Confindustria, in order to present the first Expo Kuwait-Italy 2020.
The meeting was headed by Sheick Fahad Khaled Al Sabah and was attended by the his Excellency the Ambassador of Kuwait in Italy, Mr. Jaber Duaij Al Sabah, and the Chairman of the Italian Industry Association for Middle East, Africa and Mediterranean countries, Confindustria Assafrica and Mediterraneo, Mr. Giovanni Ottati.
Many Italian companies attended the meeting operating in different sectors, from Manifacturig to Engineering companies, Textile, Pharmaceutical, Electricity and Railways, as well as Telecommunications and Cybersecurity.
Sheick Fahad highlighted the willingnes of Kuwait to promote the cooperation between Italian and Kuwaiti companies and the possibility of getting financial support for all project bringing innovation, value added and expertise in the Country, mentioning the key role of KDIPA, Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority and other Equity funds available.
Mr. Giovanni Ottati strongly enphasized the friendly environment and the great challenge that Kuwait represents for the italian companies, not only for seizing opportunities in Kuwait but also in the whole GCC countries.
“Kuwait is a great challenge and we expect a huge presence of Italian companies attending the first EXPO Kuwait -Italy 2020, which will be held in Kuwait City from the 6th to the 8th of February next year”, he concluded.
The first Expo Kuwait-italy 2020 is addressed to Italian SMEs of all sectors, except the oil ad hydrocarbons sectors, interested in developing commercial projects and will take place from 6 to 8 February 2020.
